When Shai & Odelia first announced their engagement (you can view their full wedding post here), after the first two and a half hours of squealing with joy, it finally occurred to me that I need to figure out what I’m wearing for this one. Since choosing outfits is my favorite sport, this was a task I was excited to get to. 

I knew pretty much from the start this was going to be a super casual morning wedding, so I kept that in mind when looking for the perfect outfit, ’cause as fun as it is to bring all of my glam fantasies to life on such events, I didn’t wanna be too over the top and it was important to me to feel like my extra special self.

I knew I wanted to go local so I started looking through Israeli designers websites and Facebook pages. I chose the ones I always wished to splurge at and never got a chance to, and tried to find something I’d love. I saw some good options, but my keeper was not found at that search, simply because I had a good idea what I wanted to wear and I wouldn’t settle.

This CommonRaven dress I ended up wearing was at the back of my mind since I first ran into it on the brand’s 2014 spring-summer collection. I loved it but wasn’t entirely sure at first whether it was the right pick for my brother’s wedding, and if so, whether I could even find it a year and a half later. Long story short, this was a joy of union only a girl on a fashion mission will understand. 

I completed the look with classic black pumps, purple-ish lipstick and an ear cuff I’ve been obsessing about by Efrat Cassouto.
