I’m kinda scared to say it out loud but these past few months I’ve been at my absolute happiest. Although a part of me is afraid to jinx it, the other angel sitting on my shoulder says it’s a good thing to be grateful for the blessings life throw your way and never take anything for granted. There are many life lessons I’ve learnd and I’m still learning as I go, of course. I intend to write much more about that soon enough, but meanwhile I’d like to share with you a nice trick that gets me through my tough moments. 

It was virtually impossible to miss the fact that I’m experiencing a vacation craze lately, but if somehow you did miss it, you can read more about it here, here and here also. vacations and resorts of many kinds and especially the tropical kind are probably my biggest inspiration these days. This craving was making me miserable at first, I got to admit. As much as we all sometimes wish “life is but a dream”, every so often reality comes knocking and you realize you’re not even close to being as young, wild and free as you hoped.

It took a while but I finally learnd how to make things work my way: I dress for where I dream to be. Although I know that does not mean I get a free pass on washing the dishes, taking out the trash or having awkward hair days, this sure helps me get in touch with my inner hedonistic self and actually makes all these annoying day to day tasks, well, much less annoying. Add to this the fact that you don’t actually need to pack anything, and you got yourself the next best thing after actually being on vacation.

My ultimate dream vacation spots are pretty much the same most of the time, but I do get all sorts of different moods. This week I was totally feelin’ the Mexican vibe and didn’t even realize how much so until I set down to look at these photos. Although my trip to Mexico will probably only take place in a few years from now, I will get there, and when I will, this is exactly what I’m gonna be wearing.
