Powder My Nose

While skipping from one tv screen to the next (I’m kind of a masochist that way), the tv in our appartment has made my decision for me, cut off my tragedy infusion and peacefully passed away to plastic heaven. Well, we had a good run.
When all I had left was a stinky mood and free time on my hands, I turned to the one thing that always elevates my spirit: I bought myself a new pair of sandals.
What can I say, once again, it worked like a charm.
As one of my many mishaps I loyally guard my habit of buying shoes in clothing stores, so as awkward as it is to admit it, many great shoe stores totally get passed my radar.
I haven’t set foot in Caligula (Israeli shoe brand), since at least five years ago when I was looking for a temp job. Looking back, they have yet to reply my application.
Anyhow, the search for the perfect nude sandals (which seems to go on for a decade from where I’m sitting) led me to open my horizons and return to Caligula among many other places.
Surprise surprise, there were no nude sandals to be found, but my new black heeled ones are so good looking I could literally hear them calling my name, and a girl can never have too many classic beauties.
The heart wants what it wants.
 


בעודי מדלגת ממסך טלוויזיה אחד למשנהו (כי לפעמים אני מזוכיסטית כזאת), הטלוויזיה בדירה שלנו החליטה שאני צריכה להתאוורר, ניתקה אותי מאינפוזיית הטרגדיות ומסרה את נשמתה לבורא הפלסטיק.
נו, הייתה לנו תקופה טובה.
כשכל שנשאר לי הוא מצב רוח לא מגניב וזמן פנוי בידיים, פניתי אל המוצא האחרון וההכרחי וקניתי סנדלים.
ובכן, זה עבד כמו קסם.

בין עוונותיי אני מתחזקת בנאמנות כבר שנים את ההרגל לקנות נעליים בחנויות בגדים ולכן, מביך להודות, רשתות הנעלה לרוב חומקות מהרדאר שלי. בקליגולה לא דרכתי מאז שחיפשתי עבודה בזמן החפש”ש אי שם לפני כ-5 שנים. תוהה באמת אם הם מתכוונים להחזיר לי תשובה לגבי זה.
בכל אופן, החיפוש שנראה מכאן נצחי אחר סנדלי הניוד המושלמים, אילץ אותי לפתוח את הראש ובין השאר לשוב גם לקליגולה, שם אומנם סנדלי ניוד מושלמים לא מצאתי (האם מישהו מקשיב לתחנוניי?) אבל יובל שרף כל כך יפה שיכולתי להישבע שהסנדלים השחורים האלה קראו בשמי ומה כבר יכול להיות רע בזה, גם ככה יש לי חסך בקלאסיקות.
כמו שאומרת האייקון של חיי, סופר אמא- “לפעמים הנשמה רוצה”.
